

Darlene was born in Baldwin Township, Minnesota, on December 7, 1930. She graduated from Faribault High School.
She dedicated 40 years of her career to working in medical administration with the Department of Veterans Affairs. After her official retirement from the Veterans Administration Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, Darlene continued her service as a civilian contractor, supporting the VA hospital as an administrative assistant for a research department for an additional 10 years. Following the conclusion of her contracting role, she returned to a government position within the same VA, where she finally retired at the age of 89, just three months prior to her 90th birthday.
Darlene was married to Byron G Anderson on January 1, 1968, in Rutherford County, Tennessee. At the age of 91, she moved to Mesa, Arizona, to be with her family.
Darlene had a passion for her friends, her pets, and traveling. She was actively involved in her community as a member of the Tennessee chapter of the American Woman Business Association and served as a past President of the Chapter.
She was survived by Thomas W. Shea, Sr (son), Nancy S. Shea (daughter - in- law), Patrick D. Shea (grandson) from Mesa, AZ. Her Nieces Keli Wall of Huston, TX and Staci Vaughan of Pueblo, CO. Her 4 great nephews, 1 great niece, 2 great - great nieces and 3 great - great nephews.
