Deanna Delmar

Deanna Delmar, passed away on December 9, 2022 in Chandler, Az surrounded by her family. She was born on November 19, 1939 in Trenton, NJ. Deanna moved to Arizona in 1973 with her first husband Cole Gibbs and their 4 children.

Deanna married Jay Zumwalt in 1984 and they were together until his passing in February 2019. She was a devoted mother to her four children and, after raising her family, went on to pursue a career as a lawyer. She worked for the State of Arizona Department of Insurance until her retirement.

In her retirement, Deanna and Jay enjoyed traveling the world and experiencing new cultures. She also had a passion for playing card games with her friends, particularly pinochle, Mahjong, and Hand and Foot.

Deanna will be remembered for her love of adventure, her dedication to her family, and her kind and generous spirit. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Deanna was preceded in death by her husband Jay and sons, Kelly and Jeff Gibbs. She is survived by her sister Linda Helder, Daughter and Son in law Jennifer and Todd Bradshaw, Son Terry Gibbs. Jay's children Palmer, Mitzi and Lewis. 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren along with her cat Koko.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday December 17, 2022 at 11am, at Generations of Ahwatukee, Elite Studies Room, 15815 S 50th Street, Phoenix, Arizona 85048.
