Dennis Maxwell Campbell

Dennis Maxwell Campbell, born June 29, 1939 in Akron, OH, passed away March 2, 2019 in Gilbert, AZ at the age of 79. He proudly served in the U.S. Army with the 1st cavalry and with the mountain division. Following his time In the army he started his career with Bell Helicopters, Grumman, Hughes, McDonnell Douglas and eventually Boeing; he was also a member of the American Legion. He went to Vietnam, where he met Khuyen and the two were married on June 5, 1974. After Vietnam he went to Work in Iran and left Iran due to the revolution. Dennis was an avid bowler and had been on many leagues. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, taking road trips with his family and traveling on cruises and back to Vietnam with Khuyen; Dennis always liked to stay busy. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Khuyen Campbell; children, Henry Campbell, Brandy Campbell and Robert (Libby) Campbell; grandchildren, Henrene Kim, Joshua Campbell, Justin Campbell, Kayla (Kapena) Gowan, Taylor Pina, Charlize Harrell, Breilla Gall, Alexis Campbell, Brandon Campbell, Kylee Campbell and Vanessa Campbell; great grandchildren, Evangeline Gowan and Eleilia Gowan as well as his siblings, James Campbell, Janet (John) Miller, Neill Campbell and Doug Campbell. A celebration of his life will be at 3:00pm, Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Mariposa Gardens Cemetery Chapel, 6747 E. Broadway Rd in Mesa.
