

Dennis Lee Carpenter, of Gilbert, Arizona passed away November 23, 2020 at the age of 74. He was born July 30, 1946 in Bell, California to Leslie Clayton and Gladys [Holland] Carpenter. Dennis enjoyed golfing, fishing, boating, camping, spending time with his children and grandchildren and most enjoyed the time with his wife. He had a love of baseball, both playing and watching, especially the Dodgers. After graduating from Bell High School, he was offered a position with the California Angels but had to turn it down due to being drafted into the U.S Air Force where he proudly served a four year term during the Vietnam war. After his discharge from the military, Dennis went to work working on, and repairing electrical motors and moved “up the ladder” very quickly. During that time, he also attended Trinity Southern University where he earned his Bachelors of Arts in Business Administration. On June 17, 1972, Dennis married the love of his life, Jolene Weaver, and the two started their life together. A few years after they were married, Dennis decided to start his own business,Walton Motors and Controls in El Monte, California ,and worked very hard and many hours to make it a success. Dennis is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Jolene Carpenter; his children, Jennifer (Ron) Vucson, Natalie (Brett Jenkins – fiancé), Andersen and Kent (Brittany) Carpenter; grandchildren, Hunter, Hannah, Andrew, Lexi, Klay, Xylan, Quaid, Kody and Kylee; his sister, Donna Honeycutt and his Aunt Bettie Babineau.
