

Dolores "Lola" Prieto (nee Beltran), 76, of Gilbert, AZ passed away peacefully on October 24, 2024.She was born January 28, 1948 in El Paso,TX. Lola was the third of six children born to Fulgencio and Manuela Beltran. She lived much of her life in Texas and Arizona.
Dolores worked mainly as a Front Office receptionist. She was fond of taking day road trips and particularly enjoyed exploring the Old Mesilla Trail in Texas. She was a creative person and an experienced seamstress who made many clothes for her children in their youth. She made other family members outfits such as a stylish prom dress for her niece Amy and an impressive Queen Amidala Halloween costume for her granddaughter Sam. She loved to dance and sparkled on the dance floor as she two stepped, or back stepped her way across a room to a country song or a spanish cumbia.
Lola is survived by her son Ruben Prieto III, his wife Laura and their children Jaekobe and Raelinas well as her daughter Stefanie Hernandez, her children Christopher and Samantha Hernandez and great granddaughter, Anais Griego. Lola is also survived by her sister Margarita Mapes and several nieces and nephew.
Lola is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Delia Franco, Irene B Garcia, brother Raul and niece Sonyé Herrera.
A celebration of life will be held in Lola's honor on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 11:00am at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park, 6747 E. Broadway Rd. Mesa, Arizona 85206. Following the service, Lola will be laid to rest at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park.
