Beloved husband and adored father, Don was 70 years old at the time of his passing. He was the only son of Earl and Vivian Clapp and was born and raised in Southern California. He attended Hoover High School and graduated from California Lutheran Bible School in 1963 where he met his beautiful wife of almost 49 years, Bonnie. He served in the United States Army from 1964 - 1967 in Minneapolis under NORAD and continued his education at Maranatha Baptist Bible College where he received his Bachelor of Science in education in 1977.
Don enjoyed life and all parts of it, but especially when it had to do with his wife Bonnie, children, or grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, singing in his church choir, old cars, firearms, reading, and movies. Above all else he enjoyed spending time with his family and was always quick with a smile and encouragement for others.
Don is preceded in death by his father Earl, mother Vivian, step-father Arthur, and infant brother, Gregory . He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Clapp and four children: Son Don and Rebekah Clapp, daughter Christine and Glen Quintana, son Len and Holly Clapp, and daughter Debbie and Kevin Harris and his ten grandchildren, whom he adored: Glen, Tony, Tyler, Maegan, Noelle, Zachary, Liam, Stephen, Isabella, Elijah, his step-mother Frances Clapp, step-sister Susan and Bob Dabinet, and many other extended family members.
Don was selfless, loving, thoughtful, sincere, and genuine. A wonderful husband and the best father anyone could ask for, always putting himself last for the sake of family or friends. He was loved by all who knew him for who he was - a kind soul with a huge heart for others. He loved those around him and was, in turn, loved by them.
He will be loved and missed by many who were blessed to know him. Truly, he will hear "Well done, thou good and faithful servant..."
