Donald Vern Shepler

Donald V Shepler, 71 of Tempe AZ passed away Friday Nov 7 2014. He was born to the late Donald & Mildred Shepler on Oct 1 1943 in Lansing MI. Donald served with distinction reaching the rank of Sergeant with the Marine's Recon Unit in Vietnam. He was wounded several times and received 2 Purple Hearts and other commendations for his dedication and bravery. He is survived by his wife Joyce and 3 Children: Anthony Michael, Jennifer Rose Vincent-Torres and Daniel Brian; 6 grandchildren & 3 great-grandchildren. Brothers Gordon and Mavor Blakeslee and sister Patricia Hatmaker. He was predeceased by his sister Linda Jodon. Donald's final Interment is Friday Nov 21 2014 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 North Cave Creek Rd Phoenix AZ. There will be a Memorial & Celebration of Life, Sat Nov 22 2014 from Noon till 3 PM at 3601 East Shea Blvd Phoenix AZ.
