Our church was blessed by Pat's work.  He occasionally shared his beautiful spirit and hard work ethic with our congregation in Mesa, Arizona.   We greatly enjoyed the fruits of his labor.  My wife and I also hired Pat to install a window air conditioning unit.  I offered to help him hoist the unit into place, but he said that no help would be needed.  To this day, I have no idea how he managed it.   I loved Pat's shy smile and his extraordinary "can do" spirit.  Pat blessed us all, and God must be truly blessed!

I'm so sorry I didn't look you guys up years sooner. And so sorry to read about Pat. 
I thought about trying to connect a time or 2 but didn't know how to search. We've been in Lake Havasu since 2003.
My sister just visited us and brought a bunch of family photos including my 5th birthday party with you and Ray. Brought back memories. I think I still remember your Dad and Mom. Ray and Millie?  Right? I seem to remember your Dad smoking a pipe. Also at the party was Terry Nellis. He sends me e-mails often. If you are still in Phoenix area or wherever, I'd like toemail you a couple of ancient photos. Jim Dixon

So sorry to hear of his passing.  Wished we could have gone to Arizona to visit, time goes so fast. remember Pat so well from downers grove when he was in roofing business. He was a great cousin.wILL BE MISSED BY MANY.hAVE A PICTURE i SEE DAILY ON MY DESK SITTING ON FRONT PORCH IN lISLE.  wE WERE ALL ALOT YOUNGER THAN.

What I remember most about Grandpa Pat is that he was always there to help my parents with a project when then needed it, climbing up onto our roof with my Dad even when he really shouldn't have been anymore. You really couldn't tell him not to though, he was a very stubborn man, something that must be genetic. And whenever he would visit Illinois he would always bring doughnuts for my sister and me. 
I went over to the same old dunkin' on maple and had one in your memory, Grandpa, you will be missed and we love you.

Pat - For a man of few words, you showed your love for me in many ways during our 44 years together.  I wish we could have had another 44.  I will love you forever.

We didn't talk as smuch as we should have, but it was a comfort to know he was always there if I needed him.

I respected him more than anyone, sometimes he thought I didn't...but I always did.  He was an example to me of everything a person should be: honest, honorable, fair.

Working for him, I learned to do an honest day's work for an honest day's pay.  To do the job right.  To give your best.

I'm thankful he had a long and happy marriage.  He earned it, like everything he got.

I would like to think he is in that Better Place, and has been reunited with his best friend, "Tiger."  I know he missed him terribly, just like we will miss him now.

I was so sorry to hear of Pat's passing - I will remember him from my days in Western Springs, IL when Carole and Pat were in Downers Grove - a man of few words but always supportive of me during my time of troubles.

Pat was so much more than a father in law to me. Over the years we remodeled two houses together and he taught me so much. We always called Grandpa Pat before any new project to pick his brain for his endless knowledge. When the work was done I loved to have a beer or four with him. I am so glad I was able to spend so much time with him and am a better man for it. You treated me like a Son and I will miss you a great deal Pat.

Pat was a one of a kind brother-in-law the best anyone could ask for.  He was always there to help out and wouldn't leave till it was done.  Afterward was fun time a good time was had by all.  Sure will miss my drinking buddy,

Pat was the best brother-in-law,I could have wished for.  He was always there to help out and never left till it was done.  We would work hard but played harder,will greatly miss him.

Uncle Pat was a man of few words but many talents. He was always there for me when I had questions or issues of some sort. I remember helping him re-roof the house on Carmen, and him sitting on the roof telling me 'Tiger' stories. He would laugh so hard I thought he was going to fall off the roof. Uncle Pat, you will be missed, but please continue to watch out for us.

My father taught me many things the most valuable was that you can do practically anything if you just try hard enough. I will miss him terribly but am so very grateful that he has given me the tools I need to go on. Thanks Daddy. I love you.
