

Ellen, known by many as Louise, is revered as an incredibly strong, hard-working woman who overcame many challenges in her life. She set a strong example of work ethic and perseverance for her children and grandchildren. She began her career in the environmental services department of Maryvale Hospital as a housekeeper and quickly advanced into management. She was then recruited by Service Master. She worked as the Director of Environmental Services at many large hospitals, including Kyser Permanente in California and Phoenix Memorial.
Ellen loved crafts! Beading and painting were her favorites of many that she attempted. She made beautiful bracelets, earrings, and chains for eyeglasses. She spent hours coloring, sketching, and painting after her retirement. She loved to sit on the back porch and watch the bunnies and quail.
Ellen loved with her whole heart and spent many hours of laughter and joy with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her five children survive her: Donna Sandoval, Michael Stanifer (Kelli), Debra DeLabio (Todd), Kelly Stanifer (Marviez), and Roy Stanifer.
Ellen enjoyed time with her grandchildren and is survived by six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Ellen is also survived by one sister, Patricia Henry, and her brother-in-law, Richard Henry.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Vera Mae and Roy Lee Miles, and her sister, Kathy Miles.
