Faun was born October 6, 1940, to Hope and Grant Dalton in Hatch, UT (near Bryce Canyon). She was raised by her maternal grandparents, Myra and Hyrum Evans. Her grandmother taught Faun the art of baking, sewing and love for Heavenly Father.
Faun loved her family. She dedicated herself to serving those in need. She cherished her many pets. Faun was known for surprising friends and neighbors with hot baked bread, cinnamon rolls, or pies. Faun sewed clothes and costumes for her children, grandchildren and even their dolls. The hand painted baby and wedding quilts Faun made will be treasured heirlooms.
Faun is survived by her husband of 66 years, Hardeman "Pete" Childers, her children: Burk (Robyn) Childers of Corvallis, Or, Janis (Larry) Pflieger of Anchorage, AK, and Shelly (Chuck) Sherman of Phoenix, AZ, her 13 grandchildren: Zach (Kendyl) Childers, Gentry (Brian) Mackenzie, Haley Childers, Seth (Haley) Childers, Samantha (Rhett) Sutton, Levi (Jillian) Childers, Cole (Leslie) Childers, Jacob Bentley, Jared (Erin) Bentley, Jadyn (Tomas) Hansen, Jace (Jess) Pflieger, Talia Sherman, and Jessica Janiece Sherman, as well as 13 great-grandchildren.
