Federico Chavez Sr.

Federico (Fred) Chavez, 64 years old, passed away on June 30, 2023 in Mesa, Arizona. He is survived by his children, Fred Jr. (Stella), Fernando (Rose), Victoria, and his stepdaughter Natasha (Alex), along with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters.

Fred's passion was camping, cooking and being all that he could for his family. He loved the outdoors, taking every opportunity to visit his favorite place: Williams, Arizona. He was also a great cook, always making more than enough, as if feeding an army! As he got older, he did less of the cooking and enjoyed being cooked for or the random breakfast, lunch, and dinner dates.

He definitely was the life of a party - loud, boisterous and fun. He loved to dance and made sure he always took the lead! He enjoyed making his random calls and visits to the family, enjoying the 'bs' of conversations! His relationships at times weren't perfect, being the stubborn, grouchy, prideful, challenging man that he could be, but if you were in dire need of his support, he was there - larger than life, to help and protect those that he loved.

In turn, with all his imperfections, he was very much loved. He left us too soon, but will always be in our hearts, with memories to reflect on and love that will be cherished forever
