Frances Darlyne Blanton-Withrow

Frances Darlyne (Eaklor) Blanton-Withrow, age 88, of Mesa, Arizona passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. Frances fondly know as Darlyne, was born in 1936 in Phoenix, Arizona to Charles Eaklor and Morna Con Bishop.

She attended Tempe Union High School from 1949-1953. Then continued to further her education at Arizona State College receiving a Bachelor's of Arts in Education. Darlyne also received a Master's degree in Elementary Education at Northern Arizona University. Darlyne was the beloved president of Delta Kappa Gamma (Honorary Education Organization) from 1996-1998. She was also a member of Phi Delta Kappa "Fraternity" in 1992.

Darlyne was married to Billy Irvin Blanton from June 6, 1956 to October 2, 1993. They were sealed in the Arizona Temple in the 1980s. Darlyne later married Charles Clay Withrow on July 16, 1994 whom she was devoted to until the end.

Darlyne did volunteer work at the LDS Connery and Bishops storehouse, was a primary teacher, and sang with the Arizona Mormon Choir. She was dedicated primary teacher and worked for Phoenix Elementary #11965-199 for 27 years.

Darlyne is survived by her son Douglas Billy Blanton (1957), three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, as well as her brother Charles Gary Eaklor (1938).

A visitation for Darlyne will be held Monday, February 24, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 6655 E Preston St, Mesa, AZ 85215. A funeral service will occur Monday, February 24, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 6655 E Preston St, Mesa, AZ 85215. A graveside service will occur Monday, February 24, 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, 401 Hayden Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85257.
