

He was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on October 16, 1933, to Samuel John Marchese and Josephine DiVito Marchese. A graduate of Poughkeepsie High School, Frank furthered his education at the State University of New York and the University of Texas at El Paso. He served in the US Army from 1957 to 1960. Achieving the rank of Sergeant, he was stationed in Japan and later at Fort Bliss in El Paso, TX. After completing his military service, Frank channeled his enthusiasm for men's clothing into a successful career. He worked for Farah Manufacturing in El Paso, TX, before co-founding Marchese Weiss Men's Clothiers. Additionally, he served as the Manager of Union Fashion for an impressive 36 years. Frank's dedication to his craft and his commitment to providing exceptional service earned him respect and admiration in the world of retail.
Frank is survived by his wife of 49 years, Joanna McNamara Marchese, his daughter, Concetta Marchese Duncan, husband William Duncan, son Greg Marchese and former spouse Jamie Marchese, and daughter Yvonne Marchese, husband John Flaherty. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Caden Marchese, Quinn Marchese, Spencer Flaherty, and Brendan Flaherty. Frank was the oldest of four siblings—Angela Ambrosia, Concetta Tynan, and Tony Marchese. He is survived by Angela Ambrosia and Tony Marchese as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Beyond his professional achievements, Frank was a man of diverse interests. He loved to cook, explore new places through travel, and play golf. His warm and inviting nature made him a cherished presence in the lives of his family and friends. Frank Joseph Marchese leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a strong work ethic. He will be remembered for his kindness, his passion for life, and his ability to bring people together.
As we mourn his passing, let us celebrate the remarkable life of a man who touched the hearts of many. A memorial service to honor Frank Joseph Marchese will be held at Mariposa Gardens in Mesa, AZ on Friday, January 5th from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm MST. A Catholic mass will be held on Monday, January 15th at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in El Paso, TX at 10:00 am MST followed by his burial at Memory Gardens of the Valley, located in Santa Teresa, NM.
