
George Dewey Henry, age 94, of 102 W Elmwood Place, Chandler, AZ 85248 passed away January 2, 2023. He was born in Clay Center, KS on August 29, 1928. George graduated from Clay Center High School, and he was married to Diane Henry (Darner) on April 2, 1948, in Clay Center. George joined the US Air Force in 1951 and retired from the Air Force in 1971. During George’s time in the Air Force, he was stationed in Japan, San Antonio TX, Wichita Falls TX, Tucson AZ, Thule Greenland and Dayton OH. George and Diane were married just 2 week short of 65 years. They raised 4 boys, Dewey L, Dana L, Dennis L and Mark W. George loved playing golf all over the country.
He is survived by his sons, Dewey L Henry (Dee), Dennis L Henry (Debbie), Mark W Henry (Shelley), his daughter-in-law, Cindy Henry, and his sister, Janice Craig (Ralph). He is also survived by his grandchildren (Jody Henry, Betsy Henry, Joe Henry, Mandy Henry, Joe Johnson, Alex Johnson, David Johnson, Sarah Johnson, Sam Johnson and Jack Johnson), 15 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Diane Henry (Darner), his son, Dana L Henry, and his sister, Marjorie Sanneman.
