

Gloria Jean Koglmeier, loving wife, mother and grandmother peacefully returned home to Heavenly Father on March 18, 2024. She was born on June 3, 1931 in Clyde, Ohio to Floyd D and Inez Raifsnyder and was the oldest of three children. She graduated from Freemont Ross High School in Freemont, Ohio in June of 1949. After graduation she enlisted in the United States Army and received her basic training at Fort Lee, Virginia and was then transferred for duty at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
It was at Fort Bragg where Gloria met the love of her life, Howard G Koglmeier (Jerry) who was serving as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. It was instant love after their first dance and they married on April 15, 1950 and were married 63 years at the time of her husband’s passing in 2013. They had three children together.
Gloria was employed by Motorola, Honeywell, Hewlett Packard and Altek Lansing and thereafter joined her husband as owners and operators of a water treatment business prior to their retirement in 1982. Gloria and her husband loved traveling throughout the United States and then served in a prison ministry in Walla Walla, Washington for 9 years. Gloria was a person of strong faith and conviction in service to God and man. She loved her family, traveling, fishing, dogs and shopping and loved having fun with family and friends.
Gloria is survived by her daughter and son in law, Mickey and Dennis Repan, son and daughter in law, Matt and Annie Koglmeier, sister Roxanne Reynolds and her husband Bill, 13 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She has joined her family that preceded her in passing, namely, her husband Jerry, son Mark, parents Lloyd and Inez Raifsnyder and brother Richard Raifsnyder. She will be missed and loved by her family and friends but we know she is well and celebrating with her family and with the Lord.
Services to celebrate Gloria’s life will be on Wednesday March 27, 2024 at 12:00 pm at Mariposa Gardens, 400 S Power Rd, Mesa, Arizona 85206 with visitation one hour before the services. Interment will follow at Mariposa Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, Gloria has requested donations to Hospice of the Valley which provided loving assistance in her last days.
