

Gordy was born February 24, 1922, in Grand Forks, to parents Hans V. and Zelma Hansen.
During WWII, he served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater. After returning home, Gordon married Marion Lucille Porteous in 1946. They had three children. Gordy and Marion owned and operated "Gordy's" Drive-In and Café for many years. Marion died in 1973.
Gordon also worked for the Great Northern Railroad and later BN for 27 years.
Gordon married Jan Mager in 1986. They enjoyed summers at Blackduck Lake and winters at their home in Mesa.
Gordon loved waterfall and pheasant hunting with family members, especially Uncle George. For many years, dad was a member of the GF Gun Club and enjoyed trap shooting. Dad also loved dogs and will be greatly missed by the family pets in Mesa.
He is survived by his wife Jan; his children Carol Hansen, Grand Forks; Linda Hansen, Fargo; and his "only begotten son" Dale, Fargo; grandchildren Janelle Ensrud, Joe (Karen) Ensrud, Tammy Leavy, and Tanya Steinhaus (Patrick) Driscoll; four great-grandchildren; one sister Beverly Christian, Schaumburg, IL; brothers Jerry (Naureen) and Ron (Marian), both of Grand Forks; and many nieces and nephews. Survivors also include four step children, ten step grandchildren, and three step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marion, his parents, his sisters June Johnson and Joyce Hadland, and brother Dwight.
