Howard W. King Jr.

Howard W. King, Jr., 76, true patriarch of the family, passed away Sept 12, 2013 ending his long battle with cancer. He is preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Frances A King. He leaves behind his sister, Christine Baker, his children, Howard W. King, III, Kimberly Pellegrino, Steffanie King Alvarado, and Frances Pinney, as well as 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Howard served our country as a Marine for 20 years. He reached the rank of Master Sergeant. After retiring from the USMC in 1974, he was an instructor for Decision Data and relocated to Tempe, AZ in 1982 from his hometown of Conshohocken, PA. Following that he worked 17 years at Insight as a Customer Support Specialist. He was an excellent provider. His commitment to family, his wisdom, and his outlook on life will stay with us long after his passing. He will be greatly missed by all. Services are as follows: Visitation at Lakeshore Mortuary 1815 S. Dobson Rd Mesa, AZ on Monday, Sept. 16, 2013 from 5pm to 8pm. Memorial Service on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013 at 10am at King of Glory Lutheran Church 2085 E. Southern Ave Tempe, AZ with Interment immediately following at Valley of the Sun Cemetery 10940 E. Chandler Heights Rd., Chandler AZ.
