

James Edward Brandt, age 77, passed away on Friday March 4th 2016 while in a Hospice in Arizona after suffering a stroke. He was born June 27th 1938 to Edward and Borghild Brandt in Minneapolis MN. Jim was a devoted Husband and cherished his family. He attended public school in Minneapolis MN and graduated High School in 1956. He joined the USA Army for 3 years. After he served his country honorably he spent the next
36 years at JC Penny where he was the manager of many departments. Jim was a perfectionist and extremely trust worthy, honest and was very well liked by all that worked with him and he encountered in life. Jim was an avid sportsman, his leisure time was spent golfing, skiing and fishing. He was the City Ski jumping champion in High School. He continued to ski
Until he was in his seventies. He played golf very well and played in several leagues and won several honors for his golfing skills. Jim was the President of the Men’s Golf Team at the course in Mesa, AZ. Jim had retired to Mesa, AZ with his domestic Partner and beloved Wife Bea Blomquist Brandt on the golf course where he enjoyed being a ranger. He also enjoyed being a ranger in MN when they were at home in Eagan, MN.
Jim was survived by his devoted Wife Bea Blomquist Brandt.
He is also survived by his children Patricia Alquist (Larry), Michael Brandt (Jackie Roehl), Amy Brandt, John Brandt and Jim Brandt (Pam) along with 9 grandchildren. He is also survived by twin sisters Jeanne (Arne) Brown
and Joanie Kelly and twin brother John Brandt (Ginny) and many nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 612 S. Ellsworth Road, Mesa, AZ 85208 on Wednesday April 6th 2016 at 11:00AM. Luncheon to follow the service at the Church.
A Celebration of Life at the Moose Lodge on the 9th of April at 12:00PM
