James was married to the love of his life Gayle, who he married at the age of 23. Together they had two children, John James Albert Pena Jr. and Christian Joshua Ryan McKinley-Pena (Deceased). They have four grandchildren Mackenzie, Katelynn, Christian and Natalie who has not arrived yet. His grandchildren were the light of his life.
James was preceded in death by his parents Dolores Pena and Ramon M. Pena, Son Christian, Siblings Priscilla Martinez, Norma Toner, and Xavier Pena. He is survived by the love of his life Gayle, Son John, four Grandchildren, Siblings Louisa Romero, Joaquin Pena, Maria Lourdes Contrerras, Manuel Pena, Dolores Amya, Humberto Pena, George Pena, Arthur Pena and his Tia Isabel Castillon.
A service will be held in James’s honor on Saturday October 30, 2021 at 10am at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park; 6747 E Broadway Rd. Mesa, Arizona 85206
