Jerry was the first-born child of Cleatus (Pete) and Tressie Ladd. He had two younger siblings: Vernon (Nita) and Evona (Francis). Jerry was born in Monette, Arkansas, moved to San Pablo, California, and remained in Mesa, Arizona until his death. He retired from the post office after his service in the military. Jerry was an Army Veteran who received many honors for his service.
Jerry married in his early years and had a daughter: Lisa Kay Ladd-Campbell. He remarried on May 8th, 1991, to Nelseditch and had a daughter: Kimberlee Kay Ladd-Riley (Jake). He has three grandchildren Nicole, Brayden, and Julianna in addition to one great-granddaughter Samantha.
Jerry was a kind, loving and caring soul. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He always went above and beyond for the people he loved just to ensure they were happy. Jerry will forever remain in our hearts.
A visitation for Jerry will be held Wednesday, October 18, 2023 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services – Melcher Roses, 43 South Stapley Drive, Mesa, AZ 85204. Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85024.
Serving as pallbearers are Jake Riley, Brayden Riley, Alfred Martinez Jr., Corbin Martinez, Kevin Young and Tom DeWitt.
