Jesus "Arnie" Arnold Cisneros

Jesus Arnold “Arnie” Cisneros, 94, passed away peacefully in Gilbert, AZ on January 18, 2025.

Arnie was born in Waynoka, Oklahoma, August 12, 1930. He was the only son of Arnold Cisneros and Maria de Refugio Arteaga. The family moved from Waynoka to Wellington, Kansas where he graduated from Wellington High School in 1948 and went on to attend Pittsburgh State University in Pittsburgh, Kansas. Arnie was a Veteran, and served his country stateside during the Korean War.

Arnie carried a lifetime passion for music. His musical talents were on full display playing his saxophone and piano in several bands. Arnie could play anything by ear and he loved his “gigs” with the Pete Caudillo Orchestra touring the Wichita and Wellington dance circuits.

Arnie met and married Norma Roman and to this union they were blessed with two children; Marisa (Kobar) and Stevan Cisneros.

The family settled in Wichita, Kansas and Arnie became the proud proprietor of “Arnie’s Shoe Villa”; his first store in Normandy Shopping Center (1966) and then went on to open a second store on the west side at the Robin Plaza in Wichita. For years he served this community offering the best in fashionable women’s and children’s footwear.

We will all miss Arnie’s humor and incessant teasing with nicknames and of course his ability to light up a room with his piano playing and joyful conversation.

Arnie’s cherished memory and legacy will live on with Marisa, (John) their son, Austin, Stevan, and his children; Isabella, Hudson, Trace (Stephanie ), Keigan. (Morgan), Dalton (Bailey), Macon, and Aaron Chiappetti (Brittany). Arnie is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.

Many nieces, nephews, family and friends will continue to hear Arnie’s songs playing in their hearts.

Arnie was predeceased by Norma Roman Cisneros and his sister, Maria A. Moreno; his 7 step-brother’s and sisters, Arnold Jr., Steve, Frank, Begnignus, Sr. Anna, SSMN, Fermina (former ASC Sr. Camilla), Victoria Sr. Carmelita, SSMN, Clara Sr. Valeria, ASC

Services for Arnie will be conducted at 10:00 am on Friday, March 28, 2025 at the Adorers of the Blood of Christ, 1165 Southwest Boulevard, Wichita, KS. 67213.
