

John Aloysius Bock, Jr., 84, of Gilbert, AZ, born July 30,1931, in St. Louis, MO, son of John A. Bock, Sr. and Anita E. Bock, nee Klaus, died January 21st, 2016. John attended the United States Military Academy at West Point and served his country in the Army. After returning from service, John received his Doctorate Degree of Jurisprudence from Washington University in St. Louis, MO and practiced law in Belleville, Illinois for 42 years. He was past president of the Belleville Lions Club as well as the Serra Club of St. Clair County, Illinois. He also served as State Coordinator of the Lions of Illinois Camp for the Blind and Deaf Children for 10 years.
John retired to Arizona in 2003 with his wife of 49 years, Carol Ann Bock, nee Stenger. John and Carol were honorary co-founders of AZ East Valley Pro-Life Alliance. They both dedicated their lives to Pro-Life work. John was a member of the Knights of Columbus since 1953 serving in various leadership roles, including Past Grand Knight and Faithful Navigator, Holy Cross Council.
John was proceeded in death by his parents; his wife; his sister, Martha J. Bock.
Surviving are his fiancée, Elaine Hughes of Gilbert, AZ; her children and grandchildren; his three children, John A. III (Megan) Bock of Glenview, IL, Suzanne Bock-(Michael) Grishman of Dallas, TX, and Carol E. (Tom) Tyler of Swansea, IL; loving nephew, John E. Dougherty; eight adoring grandchildren, Kathleen Bock, Jane Bock, Gretchen Bock, John A. Bock IV, Jackson Tyler, Ashley Tyler, Jonathon Grishman, and Eric Grishman.

A Memorial Mass and reception will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 25th at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mesa, AZ. The Rosary will be proceeding the memorial mass at 10:30 a.m.
