John Leroy Givens

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of John Leroy Givens 88, who left us on December 31,2025, in Gilbert, Arizona. Surrounded by his beloved family, he was known for his kindness, love of country, love of family, generosity, kindness, compassion, his incredible sense of humor, laughter, and unwavering spirit. Throughout his life, John touched the hearts of many and created lasting memories that will be cherished forever.

Born January 27, 1937, in Newell, Pennsylvania, he served 30 years in the US Navy and was devoted to his wife Credia for 65 years. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Kate Givens. His family was of utmost importance to him, and he took great care in supporting the endeavours and interests of his grandchildren and great grandchildren, whether in projects involving automobiles, home construction, or any area in which his family required assistance. He is survived by his wife, Credia Given; his daughters, Delena Supinski (William) and Deborah Moore(David)-(D); Grand children; Kenneth Sherman (terrie), Kevin Sherman (Laurel), Paul Moore, Nathanial Rodriguez (Ret. US Navy (Christy), Melissa Anderson (steve). Great Grandchildren, Sofia Nicole Treharne, Ryan Sherman, Charles Sherman (US Marines), Zachary Sherman, Nate Rodriguez, Jr, Samantha Sherman, Kale Anderson, lola Anderson. Great Great Grandchild Ellie Moore.
