John Long, Jr., 72, of Gilbert, AZ, passed away July 6, 2015. John was born April 3, 1943 in Brawley, CA. He enjoyed his job as a correctional officer with the state of Arizona. His hobbies included his family, food, Western movies, sports cars and collectibles. He is survived by his wife Denise, four daughters, seven sons and ten grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Juanita Clemson. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 16th from 10:00-11:00am at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park and Funeral Care, 6747 E. Broadway Rd. in Mesa 85206. A funeral service will follow at 11:00am, also in the chapel. Burial will take place immediately following the service also at Mariposa Gardens.
