

He was born July 9th, 1937 in Chicago, Il. to Oliver and Homer Wheeler. Joe was raised in Elgin, IL. and graduated from Elgin high school. He was a Specialty Construction Operator in the United States Army. He loved to ride and race Harley’s (Hot to Trot), enjoyed trucks from Chevys and Dakotas to eighteen wheelers and snowmobiling. He also enjoyed traveling especially cruises, listening to music, and going to concerts and watching NASCAR and the Chicago Bears. He was known by many as a social butterfly, he enjoyed telling jokes. His pleasant personality was contagious to everyone. Joe was a dedicated husband, father, friend, and hard-working business owner: Constance Disposal, Wheelers BBQ, and JK Trucking. He was always there to help.
Married 46 years to Survivor Kathleen VanEycke Wheeler. Also survived by three beautiful daughters: Constance Marie Wheeler BSP, Richelle Marie Wheeler RN, and Brittany Jo Wheeler, along with generations of cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by Oliver Wheeler, Homer Wheeler, LaVanda Woods, Oliver Jr. Wheeler (Barbara Wheeler), Eugene Wheeler (Glenette Wheeler).
The Wheelers boys were very well known and respected. Joe was a very strong, brilliant, compassionate, caring, loving, and supportive man.
Per Joes wishes he will be cremated at Mariposa Gardens in Mesa, Az.
