She was fearfully and wonderfully made on August 29th, 1969 in Glendale, Arizona. Katie had a generous spirit and found joy in making others happy. With a hand-crafted gift or adding special details to an everyday event, the people she touched felt loved and cared for. She enjoyed outdoor adventures with family and friends. Her nurturing extended to all animals, both wild and tame - especially her dachshunds and kitties. She had a quick wit, loved a good pun, and could dish out sass when it was least expected. Katie generously gave of herself and received much love in return. Her passing will leave a void in many lives. She is survived by her husband, Troy Braley; grandmother Nita Erickson; mother and father, Kathy and Richard Vaughn; Siblings Dennis Vaughn and Ginger Marsh as well as a loving extended family.
She was greeted in heaven on January 29th, 2020. A celebration of life will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Mariposa Gardens Cemetery Chapel, 6747 E. Broadway Road, Mesa, Arizona 85206
