Kenneth "Kenny" Bodlander

Kenneth "Kenny" Bodlander, beloved brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2025, at the age of 68. Known for his warm heart, generosity, love of history, and deep devotion to family and friends, he will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Born on February 26th, 1957, in Forest Hills, Queens, NY. Kenny grew up with a passion for working and an innate curiosity about the world. He was a lifelong lover of baseball, never missing a chance to catch a METS game, whether from the stands or at home with family. One of his deep passions was the golden age of television and movies, with an interest for British comedies. For example, he still enjoyed watching Jack Benny, the Odd Couple, and Faulty Towers. He also appreciated history and enjoyed travel.

Kenny had a special gift for connection. He never met a stranger—every conversation was an opportunity for a new friendship. His joy in gathering around a table with good food and great company was evident in the many dinners shared with friends and loved ones. He believed in the value of relationships and made it a point to stay connected with friends and relatives near and far.

Above all, Kenny loved his family fiercely. He was a devoted brother, uncle, and friend, always present, supportive, generous, and full of encouragement. His legacy of kindness, warmth, generosity, and compassion will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

Kenny is survived by his brother Ronald Bodlander and his sister Karen Jenner (Robert Jenner); his niece Lauren Jenner, his nephew Justin Bodlander (Amy Bodlander) and his nephew Jonathan Bodlander.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents Phyllis and John Bodlander.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
