Linda was my supervisor at the Department of Health. I loved her smile and sweet spirit. It was easy to talk to her about almost anything. I missed her a lot when she retired, but we stayed in touch. She was my source of strength when my husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer's.  She will be missed.

I am very saddened to hear of Linda's passing.  I had the privilege of working with Linda at Phoenix Memorial Hospital for many years.  She was a great colleague and true leader who stood up for what was the right thing to do, which wasn't always easy.  She was a beautiful lady inside and out, a good friend whom I lost track of many years ago.  May she rest in peace. 

Linda hired and trained me as a new medical facilities surveyor, so I learned from the best.  Her depth of knowledge, practicality, and non-threatening way of approaching folks in facilities were very instructive to me, and made the process flow very smoothly.  Linda's office was right outside my cubicle, so we shared a lot of day-to-day information and I learned so much from listening to her insights and wise counsel.  Needless to say, we also shared a lot of stories about our experiences in and out of the office.  She wasn't just a leader but a wise friend who was very dear to me.  

Since not everyone is able to join us live for Mom's service today I wanted to include the link to the live streamed event from Facebook today. I have known Linda through First Baptist Church of Tempe for years. As a fellow nurse and soprano we had much in common. Her gentle and loving spirit was always evident. Her wise words often brought understanding and calm. She helped my daughter as a new nurse and navigating the health care system. I loved hearing her sing and although she was no longer able to offer her beautiful solo and worship team voice she continued to sing in the choir and added so much. We also loved Wayne and were sad at his passing. Linda remained strong while missing him. They laid a good foundation for their children to build upon. Prayers for all of the family and peace to all who are now grieving this loss. 

My memories of Linda go way back to our school days at Northwest Christian Schools in Spokane, Washington.  She was indeed a special person, and I so enjoyed accompanying her on the piano many times..music was a very important part of our school life and Linda's voice was lovely.  She did me the honor of singing at my wedding..thank you Linda, for all those wonderful memories.  

To Linda's family,  I met Linda when she became a member if the ADHS Bureau of Medical Facilities Family.   Linda was a valued member if our family and brought to our team her sincerity and compassion we all loved.  She would remind us that taking a  positive approach to each challenge would increase our success for resolution.  My thoughts and prayers go out to each of you.  May the many wonderful memories be with you forever.

I've only known Linda for a few years, but knew her and Wayne long enough to know they were special people.  After Wayne's passing, Linda persevered and kept smiling...and singing.  She always had encouraging words and always appreciated the kindness of others.  I remember taking food to her once after she moved into her new apt. not far from us.  I left blessed because of her attitude of genuine joy.  

Linda was a woman of wisdom, peace, and kindness, who loved her family and people in general. Our last conversation was as we were leaving the choir room, probably the last Sunday she sang, before she fell ill.  Her words, as always, were words of encouragement, and the smile on her face and light in her eyes brought joy to my heart.  

Blessings, sweet Linda; and prayers for your dear family.  We will miss you, but we KNOW where you are!! 

Linda and I became friends when she hired me to work at the Arizona Department of Health 10 years ago. Our friendship grew as we worked side by side as Team Leaders. She will always be remembered for her kindness, compassion and caring attitude to all in the department and community members that we dealt with.  I will never forget her beautiful singing voice and her love for making beautiful quilts.  My deepest of sympathies go out to her family, Trevor and Kelly, Bethany and Lance, Jordan and Ivy.  She loved all of you very much and used to love to share with me memories of special times you had together.  I know she is in a better place with God in Heaven and back with her love Wayne.  May you all find comfort and peace in knowing that her pain has ended. Always cherish the wonderful memories that you shared and Linda RIP my dear friend. We will all miss your smiling face and cheerful attitude.   

I met Linda in the choir back in the early days of Bethany Community Church, now Sun Valley CC, Tempe.  We ended up experiencing a similar life experience and she was a great source of comfort to me in those unexpected anxious times.
I rejoice and take comfort that she is with her Heavenly Father in her forever home and reunited with her husband, Wayne. She will be missed on earth. But she is healed and celebrating in Heaven and that is joyous news.

I worked with Linda at Phoenix Memorial Hospital.  I considered her a dear friend.  She got me interested in beautifully illustrated children’s books.  After I left PMH, and moved to Tucson we remained in touch.  Now living back home in Illinois we remained in touch thru Facebook.  She was just a delight to work with.  So upbeat and happy, and her laugh and smile were contagious.  God Bless you all during this hard time.  ❤️❤️

I worked with Linda at the Az Dept of Health. Linda was a friend, wonderful co-worker, and an outstanding nurse. She was sweet, upbeat, outgoing, and had a great sense of humor.  I loved traveling with her - we always found a way to have fun.  R.I.P. 

Linda was one of the most talented and compassionate people I knew. She was a friend from the early days of Bethany Community Church (now the Tempe campus of Sun Valley Community Church.) My father had passed away nearly a year before and I was still struggling with grief.  One day Linda said to me. "Dene, Don't let anyone ever tell you one year is long enough to grieve. " I needed that and it gave me the assurance that I could take my time getting over the trauma of his death.  After all, she was a friend and a nurse.  She surely knew what she was talking about.  So to Trevor, Bethany  and the rest of her family, let me say. "Don't let anyone ever tell you how long you should grieve.  Take the time you need.  Linda would want you to."

I worked with Linda at the Arizona Department of Health and when we would have gatherings for birthday's or someone retiring she would always lend out her vocals and sing for us. She will be truly missed . God bless her soul and my condolence to the family .

Linda was my beautiful, soft spoken sister in law. One of my favorite memories was at mine & Steve's wedding. She loved to sew as well as quilt. She made the dresses for her daughter Bethany & our other niece Sue to be our flower girls. Chad (Sue's brother) was our ringbearer. We have a sweet picture of Linda putting a necklace on Bethany & Sue & helping them put their dresses on. She was an Angel on Earth & now one in Heaven. Linda you will be missed !
