Lois Marie Carson

Lois is survived by her 2nd husband Frank Klassen of Mesa, AZ; Brothers Dale Wordelman of Rochester MN. (wife Lorrine) and Jon Wordelman of Kassen MN. (wife Marlene); Children Sandy Fortney of Mesa ,AZ.(husband Daniel), Sheri Bauter of Ridgefield, WA.(husband Steve), Richard Carson of Mesa, AZ.(wife Barbara), Charles Carson of Mesa, AZ. Stepchildren Gary Klassen of Kingsburg CA., Darlene Carlson of Mill Valley CA.(husband Rick Wahlstrom), Susan Wiebe of Reedley CA.(husband Bob), Janet Goodreau of Kingsburg CA.(husband Bill). She is also survived by 16 Grandchildren, 25 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her 1st husband Roger Carson, her oldest son Stephen Carson and her parents Reuben and Evelyn Wordelman.

Lois was born on September 9, 1931 in Spring Valley MN.to Reuben and Evelyn Wordelman. She graduated from Spring Valley High School in 1949.After high school she went to secretarial school at The Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN. and worked there after. She married Roger Carson on January 28, 1950. After she married her and Roger farmed in Spring Valley, ran 2 motels and she prepared income tax reports. In 1978 they moved to Brainerd where she sold Real Estate and became a Real Estate Broker. In 1993 her and Roger moved to Mesa AZ. where she continued to sell Real Estate. She enjoyed playing cards any chance she could get. She retired from Real Estate around 2004.

She married her 2nd husband Frank Klassen in 2014 and remained living in Mesa AZ.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for 2:30 Saturday February 4, 2023 at Velda Rose Methodist Church, 5540 E. Main St, Mesa AZ. 85205, with a reception to follow at the church.To celebrate Lois’s life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
