Louis Alphonso Lopez

Louis A. Lopez, a resident of Florence, Arizona passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at Apache Junction Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Manhattan, New York on June 4, 1947 to the late Alphonso and Leonida Lopez. After retirement he moved from New York to Arizona.

Louis loved oldies and salsa music and enjoyed dancing. He was an avid car enthusiast. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. His favorite pastime was watching baseball, boxing, UFC sports, eating good food and traveling with his wife.

He is survived by his wife, Viviann Lopez. They were married 10 years. He is also survived by his children, Maryann Lopez, Daren Lopez, Danielle Lopez, Ashley Lopez and step-children Jason Acevedo, Melanie Danielewski and Sarah Olavarria.

Louis is survived by his grandchildren, Amanda Maldonado, Justin Maldonado, Jennifer Finch, Mathew Lopez, Gracie Lopez, Derek Lopez, Izeah Johnston, Lady Jasmine Colon, Felix Colon and step-grandchildren, Cayden Acevedo, Brandon Acevedo and Michael Abate III.

His surviving siblings are, John Lopez, Andrea Castillo and Jesus Lopez. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and former spouses, Albertina Shapiro and preceded in death, Mary Rodriguez.

Also survived by daughter -in-law, Cynthia Toscano Lopez and step son-in-law, Kenneth Danielewski.

Families and friends may call at the Mariposa Gardens Memorial Funeral Home, 400 South Power Road, Mesa, AZ. on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 for wake service from 4-8pm with a prayer service to be celebrated at 5:30pm. Cremation will follow at a later date.
