77, a resident of Mesa, Arizona, passed away on July 20, 2012. Lou was born on Nov 14, 1934 in Vaughn, New Mexico to the late Narciso and Frances Sanchez. Lou was a long time city of Mesa employee and worked as a civil engineer retiring in 1992. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Zenia; his sons, Louis and John (Mary) Sanchez, and Hector and Dan Macias; daughters, Mary (Patrick) Jinks, Belinda Keeme, Alicia (Rudy) Sanchez Castro, and Lisa Andrade; along with his 13 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren; as well as three sisters and two brothers. Lou was preceded in death by his daughters Anna and Bettina Sanchez. Arrangements are entrusted to Melcher Mortuary Chapel of the Roses, 43 South Stapley Drive Mesa, Arizona 85204 (480)964-4537. A Rosary Service will be held at Chapel of the Roses beginning at 8:30am on Friday, July 27, 2012. Visitation will follow from 9:00 to 9:30am. Funeral Mass will be held from 10:00 to 11:00am at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 141 North MacDonald Mesa, 85201. Interment will be held at 11:15am at The City of Mesa Cemetery, 1212 North Center Street Mesa, Arizona 85201.
