Mae was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and was 1 of 7 children. After school she moved to Seattle, Washington where she went to work for Boeing as a Team Leader for their factory line. She received many awards for her excellent service. She worked for Boeing for 25 years. She met the love of her life, Leo, at Boeing. Mae loved to dance and taught Leo how to do the Jitterbug and the Waltz. They got married on November 21, 1951 and were married for 67 years when Leo passed in 2018. In their 67 years of marriage, they enjoyed owning two bar establishments, had moved to Texas, then to their final location in Mesa, Arizona, loved their traveling adventures in their motorhome, and boating.
Mae was an avid animal lover and she had a passion to take care of them. In addition, Mae loved to have purpose in life and would deliver the Sunday newspapers to her friends as well as bring treats to their fur babies.
She is preceded in death by her beloved Leo, her mother and father, and all of her siblings.
