Miguel Del Rosal was born in Los Angeles, California on May 27th, 1935 to Miguel and Adela Del Rosal. He was 1 of 3 children. He attended La Escuela Benito Juarez in Juarez Mexico, Lidia Patterson Junior High in El Paso Texas, and Roosevelt High in Los Angeles. In his later years he went onto East Los Angeles College where he earned his AA degree and took many art classes such as jewelery making, stain glass and painting.
In July 1954 Miguel married his childhood sweetheart, Elisa Ibarra. And at 19 years of age they moved to Boyle Heights, Ca and started their family. They had 3 boys and 3 girls. Miguel had started his career as a furniture restorer, painter, mechanic,or as we like to say, artisan. Nothing was impossible for him, as he was able to make and fix anything. He was a hard worker who always provided for his family and helped others. Even though he was quite and tough at times he was a man always willing to help those in need, and if you were lucky enough you were able to witness how funny he really was as he always made jokes and funny faces. Miguel was a man who loved his family and loved to be surrounded by them, he would always say how he wished that his family lived all together on a ranch. He enjoyed the good things in life, especially his wife’s cooking, tamales, steak, and eating out at restaurants.
His life cannot be summed up in a few words, as he was more than that, and so was his life. Which was filled with many stories, and great memories of love, friendship, laughs, and most of all family…
Thank you “Dad, Dada, Grandpa, Abuelo, Fregado” for loving us and raising our big beautiful family. You will live on in each and everyone of us as we will always remember all we shared with you.
