

Nicholas was born in Paterson, NJ on June 18, 1929. He grew up in Lodi, NJ and graduated from Lodi High school. After high school he worked as a foreman at J&T Coat Factory for his uncle.
He was drafted into the Military in 1951 and reported to Fort Dix on March 12, 1951. He served in Korea with the 204th Field Artillery Battalion. He was discharged from the Army on December 12, 1952.
Then on May 9, 1954, he married Angela Morone. They then went on to have two children, Paul and Lynne. As his children were growing up, he worked as Vice President for Wm. Robinson & Co. and then as a sales representative, being self-employed for some time. He finished his career at Level Line and Blackstone selling millwork to home builders.
Upon retirement Nicholas and his wife Angela organized many military reunions for the 204th Field Artillery Battalion. They travelled extensively for the reunions.
After that Nicholas enjoyed his grandchildren Jenna, Matthew, Nicholas and Trevor.
Our beloved father, grandfather and brother will be missed by all. He will be sadly missed by his son Paul Vanderhave and wife Lynn Blaser-Vanderhave. His daughter Lynne D. Vanderhave. His grandchildren Jenna Vanderhave, Matthew Vanderhave, Nicholas Kaplan and Trevor Kaplan will also miss him. As will his brothers John Vanderhave and his wife Susanna Vanderhave of Parsippany, NJ and Peter Vanderhave and his wife Annette Vanderhave of Pompton Lakes, NJ.
He was preceded in death by his wife Angela Vanderhave, nee Morone. As well his father John Vanderhave, sister Enid Lardizabal, nee Vanderhave, mother Mary Vanderhave, nee Lapchak and sister Janice Vanderhave.
A memorial service will be held @ 1PM Sunday May 1 @ Mariposa Gardens-Agave Venue, 400 S Power Rd, Mesa, AZ.
