Norbert Bruemmer, Ph.D, “Norb” joined the “Choir of Angels” on August 7, 2010. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Helen of 61 years. His children Judi/Mark; Tom/Terri; Mark/Julie; Mary; and six grandchildren Nathaniel, Matthew, Sarah, Cameron, Zachary and Mark; sister Mary of St. Louis. A family gathering will be held at Mariposa Gardens Broadway and Power Rd at 4:00 pm, Friday, August 13, 2010 with a memorial service to follow at 6:00 pm. Norbert was born in Madison, Illinois on June 6, 1926 and moved to Arizona in 1959, he earned his Bachelor’s from St. Louis University and Master’s and Doctorate from Arizona State University. He was associated with the Scottsdale School District, the Maricopa Community College School District and served for 11 years as President of Maricopa Technical College before retiring in 1987. Norb was a life long member of VFW Post 12006. The family would like to say a special thank you to the caregivers at Horizon Bay and Hospice Inspiris.
