Olive Mary Beaird

Olive Mary Beaird of Mesa, Arizona and resident of Legacy Retirement Home for 2 years and Leisure World of Mesa, Arizona for 17 years, passed away in Mesa, Arizona on January 30, 2021 at the age of 94. Born in St. Louis, Missouri to Monroe & Freda Cissell. She was married to Raymond Beaird for 25 years before they divorced. Olive lived in St. Louis through her young adult life and raised three children: Carla Rae Beaird, Raymond William Beaird Jr. and Glen Micheal Beaird. In 1974, she move to Mesa, Az. to be closer to her daughter. Olive was a homemaker while raising her three children. She later worked as a teller in various banks until she got a job with Motorola. She was the head cashier in Motorola's cafeteria for 11 years. She retired from Motorola in 1989. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, drawing, painting and she always looked forward to all family gatherings. Olive is survived by her daughter Carla R. Hulseweh and her husband (Terry), sister Virginia Bryant, brother Jim Cissell, grandchildren: Jeffrey Hulseweh and wife (Sara), Jennifer Lyon and husband (Glen), Casey Beaird, Jessica Beaird, Daniel Beaird, Barbara Delgado, John Beaird, William Beaird III, Tom Beaird, great grandchildren: Brandon Lyon, Caden Lyon, Evan Hulseweh and Julia Hulseweh. Olive is preceded in death by both parents, brothers Leo Cissell, and Calvin Cissell, sisters Thelma Ray, and Marie Baker, sons Raymond William Beaird Jr. and Glen Micheal Beaird. A private graveside service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park and Funeral Care in Mesa, Arizona. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
