Raymond Castro, May 7, 1939 – August 4, 2014 of Mesa, Arizona, formerly of Northwest Indiana has passed away at his home with his wife, Judith Ann (Botos) and daughters, Deb and Beth at his side. He was also survived by a son, James Castro. He was 75. Born to Parents, Manual and Bessie Castro, graduated from Hammond Tech High School in 1957 after graduation was employed by what was known as Inland Steele Co. to which he retired after 35 years of service. During those years he made many close friends. These coworkers, their wives and families friendships developed into life-long relationships. He was able to retire early in life to enjoy many years within his retirement community and participate in many social activities. It was there he met many kind-hearted people which supported and cared for him in good times as well as through his illness. He was an avid golfer and always loved a good joke.
Cremation has taken place. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in memory of Raymond Castro to the Hospice of the Valley 2020 East Woodside Court Gilbert Arizona 85297.
