Richard Eugene Harwood was born in Monmouth, Illinois on February 26, 1951 to William and Dorothy Harwood. After a courageous battle with cancer, Richard left this world on January 5, 2021, with his wife of 41 years, Debbie, at his side.
Richard spent his early years in Illinois until joining the Marine Corps in 1968 and serving in Vietnam. After moving to Arizona, he earned an AA degree from ITT. However, due to his independent nature and love of the open road, he returned to trucking, eventually owning his own small trucking company. In his spare time Richard liked nothing better than cruising Arizona on his Harley and chauffeuring his buddy Peanut in their favorite Ford pickup.
Richard is survived by his wife Debbie, his daughter Katherine; son Rick (Krista) and grandchildren Jackson, Barrett and soon-to-be-born Emma Rose.
