Richard is survived by his wife, Judith J Mann; his seven children, Lisa C Mann, Patricia (Tony) DeAgostino, Joseph (Janet) Mann, Paul (Michelle) Mann, Mark (Kathleen) Fiala, David Fiala, Susan (Mark) Machemer; sisters Judy Coyle and Mary Klein of Minnesota; seventeen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren with two more on the way.
Richard was born on April 8, 1938 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He graduated from DeLaSalle High School in Minneapolis and went on to attend St Thomas College. He served in the military and then proceeded to his career as an insurance executive, national recruiter and “the greatest salesman in the world” (according to him) for over forty years.
Richard married Rosemary Fitzgerald in 1963 and together had four children. After divorcing, he met and married Judith Mann in Davenport, Iowa on August 27, 1977, which added three more children to his family. All seven children were the pride and joy of his life. He loved to watch history shows, old movies and all sports programs. His favorite days were golfing, bowling and playing Golden Tee with the boys, and spending time around the fire pit with the entire family. He also really enjoyed the family rivalry between the Packers, the Vikings and da Bears.
In lieu of flowers or donations, we ask that you take a moment to hug your child, grandchild, friend or walk by the water for a moment, an hour, or a day. Time waits for no one. He will not be forgotten.
