Richard “Dick” Owen Moore, 78, of Mesa, AZ , passed away Sunday, July 24, 2011 in Mesa. He was born July 20, 1933 in Akron, Ohio the son of the late George R. Moore & Frances L. (Grimm). Richard was a graduate of Ravenna High School, Ravenna, Ohio and a Navy veteran serving in the Korean War. He met and married Roberta Peacock on Feb. 22, 1957. Dick worked for the Ford Motor Company for 31 years retiring in 1988. He was also the past president of U.A.W. Local #420 of Bedford, Ohio. He was an active resident of Brentwood Southern Park in Mesa, AZ . Dick was an avid golfer, loved to bowl and fish and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Moore is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Roberta, a daughter: Vicki Wilson (William) of Beaufort, S.C. and a son Edward J. Moore (Kathryn) of Chino Valley, AZ ; 6 grandchildren and one great grandson; a sister: Shirley Molchan of Woodbury, TN and a brother: Edward “Ossie” Moore of Largo, Fl. He is preceded in death by his parents: George R. Moore and his mother Frances L. Cain. One son: John K. Moore who passed away in 2007.
