

1935 in Coal City to his parents, Anna (Truffa) and Harold Potts. Richard graduated from Coal City High School, joined the Army then went to Business School. He retired from Commonwealth Edison. He was an avid Cubs fan and Loved to play cards (with his buddy, Bernie).Richard is survived by his sister Kathy (Bob) Platt, nieces Claire and Anne; sister-in-law Charlene (Morrisey) Potts, nephew; Christopher and niece Kelly. He is also survived by Toni's sons and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Toni (Baker) Potts (who passed away 9-4-14) his parents, his brother David and numerous aunts and uncles. Richard will be laid to rest with Toni in Illinois. Memorials may be made as gifts in Richard's memory to Trinity Services in Joliet (where his niece Kelly has received care for the last 26 years) or to Salvation Army or to New Hope Presbyterian Church. Richard was a kind, sweet and loving man. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends and will be forever in our hearts.
