Richard Allen Rahorn

Rich was born to Ron and Mary Rahorn on June 16, 1955, in Madison, WI. He played football for Belvidere High School in Belvidere, IL and Eastern Illinois University, where he graduated with a degree in Business Administration. After spending two brutally cold winters in northern Illinois, Rich moved to Arizona.

Rich met Veronica Vidaure in 1987 at Salt River Project where they both worked. They married May 6, 1989, and Rich stepped in as a father to Jason and Nicholas Fimbrez.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving husband and father, Rich also loved watching the Green Bay Packers, westerns, and science fiction. Throughout his entire life, Rich held an unwavering faith in God, which he showed through his generosity and love of others. Now that Rich has passed into the arms of our Lord, we should remind ourselves that while this is the end of Rich’s physical life on Earth, it’s the beginning of an eternal and beautiful journey for him.

Rich joins his father Ron, sister Lynn, and nephew Aaron in Heaven. He is survived by his mother Mary, sisters Becki and Renee, wife Veronica, sons Jason (Mona) and Nick (Marisela), 9 grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.

A celebration of life for Richard will be held Monday, January 16, 2023 at 5:00 PM at Lakeshore Mortuary, 1815 South Dobson Road, Mesa, Arizona 85202.
