He was born in Rockford IL on May 16th, 1945, to parents Adeline Marie Reichstein Branning and Donald Wayne Branning.
He is predeceased by his parents and sister Joyce Elaine Calder. He is survived by Sister Nadine Ann Hallstrom (Robert) Rockford, IL, brother Timothy Donald Branning, Florissant, CO, son Michael Branning (Kate) Piermont, NY, daughter Rená Suzette Ames (Brandon) Gilbert, AZ, and son Donald Scott Branning, Show Low, AZ. Friends include Carrie Brown of AZ.
