RITA R ALLEN, born July 17, 1927 in Auburn, Maine to Clovis and Rosina [Binette] Richard passed away on April 5, 2012 in Gilbert, Arizona at the age of 84. Rita was a sweet and gentle spirit who wanted to make everyone happy, she had an amazing sense of humor, loved watching old movies and musicals, playing cards and video poker and especially spending time with her great grandchildren. Rita worked for 20 years as a hairdresser and after moving to Arizona in 1972 she worked in the cafeteria for the Apache Junction School District. She is survived by her daughters Carol (Randy) Smith and Susan Reidt; grandchildren Travis (Nancy) and Corey (Melissa) Smith and great grandchildren: Natalie, Hannah, Timothy, Nathan and Christian. Services will be held at a later date in Wallingford, Connecticut.
