We first met Bob and Betty many years ago when they joined our church. In a short time, we became good friends. Along with others, we formed a circle of friends that met every other Friday night at each other’s homes. We shared a meal, games (usually dominoes) and sometimes a Bible Study. Since Bob was a dedicated worker, working long hours and often driving over 150 miles a day, he would often be tired when we would get together. He would sometimes come close to falling asleep at the table, but tired or not, he would come and we would all enjoy his company. He was always so pleasant to be around. Bob was a quiet person, not speaking up much of the time, but when he did have something to say it was worth listening to. He had a lot of wisdom and faith in God.    

We loved Bob‘s hard work ethic and creative mind. Not afraid of the challenge, he and Betty added a room onto their house and raised the sunken floor in the living room. 

Sometimes, our group would go to Northern Arizona to a cabin to spend the weekend. Bob was an early riser so he and Art would get a cup of coffee and go for a walk. Bob and Art would talk as they walked. During these talks, Bob would share his thoughts, and it was clear that Bob was very insightful. 

It was always a pleasure to be around Bob. His kindness showed. He was a real trooper and will be greatly missed!

I have fond memories of my cousin Bob when we were young and growing up.  My heart is with Betty and the family.  May all the wonderful memories stay close to their heart and bring a smile upon their face. My deepest sympathies to all the family.  ♥️

I was blessed to work with Robert at Mesa Fully Formed for several years. Being the youngest in the industry at the time,  I was the teams “runner or go-for”. Over the years I learned so much from Robert.  He always talked about his family & the Love he had for Jesus Christ.  He also seemed to know when I was trying to pull a practical joke on him.   I’d call his direct line and act like an upset customer, but Robert seemed to know it was me every time. My first briefcase was given to me by Robert as a congratulations for being promoted by MFF.  Love and miss your smile, Robert.  Till we meet again!

Robert and I worked in the same department and we share a first name, our Receptionist told me if the caller asked for Robert she would say “we have two Roberts which one, describe him.” “ Well he wears glasses.” “They both wear glasses.”  she would say.  We also had the same phone number except for the last two digits which were reversed so we got a lot of calls meant for the “other” Robert. I looked up to Robert and I learned a lot from him, he was a great teacher. I’m sorry to hear news of his passing and I wish his loved ones peace and strength.

My husband Warren and I have been friends of Bob and Betty for many years. We knew Bob to be a kind, gentle and giving man who loved his wife and family to no end. He was always willing to share his impressive wood working skills to help us with our sometimes ill conceived projects. We extend our sincere condolences to Betty, his daughters and grandchildren who will miss him very much. May his memory be a blessing as you all go through this difficult time of grieving his passing.

What a coincidence! One of Bob’s aunts and uncles, Paul & Trudy LaPointe, my mom & dad, were also married on Thanksgiving Day, 1947.  I asked them why in the world they would choose to get married on a holiday. They told me it was because it was my dad‘s only day off from work. I never had an opportunity to know my cousin Bob, but knowing the family tree from which he grew, I know he was salt of the Earth and will leave his mark for generations. my sincerest condolences.
