

Robert Burton Weisner, of Gold Canyon, AZ passed away, with his family by his side on December 27, 2019 at the age of 74 in Mesa, AZ. Burt was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, in 1945 to William and Edith Margaret [Gill] Weisner. Burt married the love of his life, Carol Osell on November 28, 1964, and the two started their family and were blessed with two sons, Rob and Chris. He was a hardworking man and started a career in the steel industry at the age of 19, beginning as an inside sales representative and working his way up to Chief Operations Officer, with stops in Saskatoon, Regina, Edmonton and Toronto, ON. During his stay in Regina he was active in community sports coaching the boy’s fastball teams and hockey teams. He worked for Russell Metals in Canada until 1997, and then in 1998 Burt and Carol relocated to Philadelphia, PA, where he accepted a position at Macsteel. In 2010, Burt and Carol moved to Gold Canyon, AZ as he continued to work for Macsteel until his retirement in late 2011. Throughout his life, he was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially trap shooting. Burt will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 55 years, Carol; sons, Rob (Dawn) Weisner and Chris Weisner; his granddaughters , Kendra and Alissa Weisner as well as his sisters, Wilma Pryma and Bev Emigh. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Edith and his sister, Pat Labrash. Arrangements entrusted to Mariposa Gardens Funeral Care.
A celebration of life will be held in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada at a later date.
