Robert Eugene Winsor, 84, died November 21, 2012 in Mesa, Arizona. Mr. Winsor was born to Raymond Glenn and Corrine Winsor on January 19, 1928 in Beardstown, Illinois. At six months, he went to live with his grandparents, Harry and Jessie Pratt in Rushville, Illinois. That is where he grew up and graduated from high school in 1946.
Robert enlisted in the Navy in 1946 and served at the National Training Center in Great Lakes, Illinois, Hospital Corps school, Bainbrdge, Maryland and the U.S. Naval Hospital, Bethesda, Maryland. in 1948 he was honorably discharged with the rank of Hospital Corpsman Third.
Robert worked several different jobs, but his favorite job that he liked to talk about was when he was a pilot. He enjoyed computers, cameras as well as walking.
Robert was preceded in death by hs son Robert Eugene Winsor Jr. in 1963 and is survived by his wife of 11 years Esther Winsor of Mesa, Arizona; son Raymond Winsor of San Clemente, California; daughter Lee Wollam of Mission Viejo, California; daughter Joy Ward of Tucson, Arizona; stepsons Arthur Wilson of Scottsdale, Arizona, Larry Wilson of Mesa, Arizona and six grandchildren. There will be no services at this time
