

Roberto Juan Ventura Cervantes Escobar was born to Rose and Ventura Escobar on July 31, 1948 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Roberto was one of five siblings; he is preceded in death by his sister Juanita, and survived by his brother Richard and his sisters Cherri and Sara.
After graduating from Marquette University with a Bachelor's of Arts in Speech, Roberto moved to Arizona to earn his Master's in Counseling. He earned a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing in 1977, and a Doctorate in Chiropractic from Texas Chiropractic College. Since 2011, he has held a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Westbrook University.
Roberto married the love of his life, Barbara Lee Glessner, on July 11, 1977. They have lived in Gilbert, Arizona since 1990, where they raised their two boys, Roberto Ill and John. Roberto Sr. eventually retired, after more than twenty years as a Registered Nurse and fourteen years of owning and operating a successful Chiropractic clinic. Throughout the years, he pursued his many intellectual interests: Christian education and New Thought, hypnotism and applied psychology, and Freemasonry.
Roberto Escobar will always be remembered as a very kind, loving, and humorous man, who would do anything for his friends or for his beloved family. He will be missed by all. Memorial services will be held at Lakeshore Mortuary in Mesa, Arizona on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. Viewing begins at 9:00 a.m., followed by a celebration of life at 10:00 a.m.
