Sharon passed away February 24, 2014. She was born February 18, 1942 in Weiser, ID to Louis and Carmen Caviness. She married her high school sweetheart, Jack, at 17 years old and began her life’s adventures in Caldwell, ID, moving to Oakridge, OR, back to Caldwell, then to Los Angeles, CA and ending in Mesa, AZ for the last 26 years. The place she loved the most was the ocean, barefoot. Sharon has one daughter, Toni. They have been extremely close, like sisters, exchanging clothes, laughing about anything and would always light up a room together. Toni, a talented actress, moved from LA to across the street from mom and dad when the grandson, Nick, was born so he could grow up next to his grandma (MeMa) and grandpa. Sharon and Nick had a special relationship together that was beautiful. They were always in a world of their own laughing and creating. Sharon was an accomplished artist and had that magic ability to envision and create, especially with mosaic tile. Sharon spent her life loving and rescuing animals of all kinds. From dogs big and small to feral cats to raising wild ducklings to turn loose in the wild to feeding birds of all kinds. You could tell animals knew this. There was one little dove (Dovey) that would fly down and land on her shoulder when she went outside. Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Louis. She is survived by her 93 year old mother, Carmen, who she took care of, her friend and husband of 54 years, Jack, her daughter and son-in-law Toni and Charlie Jourdan, and her grandson, Nick, who rocked her world. Sharon, we love and miss you terribly. Watch over us until we can be together again. Services will be private grave side with just the immediate family. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your local “no kill” animal rescue group.
