

Sheridan “Sherry” Dodge, born August 7, 1944 in Winston Salem, North Carolina to William Alton and Faulah Louise [Weatherman] Smith, passed away on October 7, 2014 in Apache Junction, Arizona surrounded by her family. Sherry was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an outstanding woman, who tried everything and would do everything well. She enjoyed the theater and had a hand in writing, directing and producing plays; she enjoyed anything outdoors, especially white-water rafting, and hiking. Sherry was devoted to her church and enjoyed doing Missionary work. The one thing that brought her the most joy was spending time with her family and taking care of her children. Sherry was preceded in death by her parents and one brother William “Blake” Smith. She is survived by her beloved husband of 46 ½ years, Tommy Dodge, whom she married on February 24, 1968; daughters Whitney (Rob) Dixon, Leslee (Matt) Maul, Daphne (Sean) Weaver and Lindsey (Aaron) Marley; siblings Tracy (Dave) Winter, Doug Smith and Pam Gordon; grandchildren Jessica, Kristyn, Matthew, Hunter, Rebecca, Tommy, Michael, Michelle, Tiffany, Alexia, Kyler as well as seven great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 9:00am, Saturday, October 11, 2014 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1720 S. Ironwood Dr., Apache Junction, AZ. Interment will immediately follow the service at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park, 6747 E. Broadway Rd in Mesa. Arrangements entrusted to Mariposa Gardens (480) 830-4422
